Moon And Tress At The Top Of The Frosty Hill via [PYGMENT] January 4th, 2009 at 20:34

image New Years day and it was a beautifully crisp, dry, evening there was no one around, and to add to the spooky feeling the local church bell rang out across the field of frosty grass, thistle and frozen cow......

Roskilde Flames via pygment July 12th, 2008 at 00:22

image Radiohead were amazing better than the Dublin gig, they had the same show but they didn’t play creep, thank God. Great atmosphere and great weather, Thom seemed to be having a good time. Yeasayer put on a great show, lots of energy and the plenty of the Rock symbols from from the lead singer. Of course like all American bands they had to apologies for Bush, can’t wait till they have something else to apologies for. Have to go see them again and the new tracks sound great. Black Mountain, about 100 times better than I thought it would be, the female vocalist was outstanding and we couldn’t see the lead singers face, it was all hair and beard. The music was other worldly, another band I have to see again. Holy Fuck rock, bit like Battles. I’d go out of my way to see...

O2 TV – Watch Television on your O2 mobile phone! via John M. Ryan March 8th, 2007 at 12:53

image 3G, dublin, O2, sky, tv3 vodafone I love, as you know, to fool around with new types of technology. Mobile TV is something that interests me, I love TV and to have it on the go is pretty cool, probably more advantageous to those people who commute and regularly miss their TV shows. I was less than impressed by Vodafones mobile TV service, as there was nothing interesting on there. It seems however, as the Irish Independent has it, that O2 Mobile is launching a pilot Mobile TV scheme, with the following Channels RTEI, TV3, Sky Sports, Sky News, Setanta Sports and the Discovery Channel, sounds good! 350 people will take part in the trial in Dublin and will be able to watch selected TV channels on the go! If any O2 Hoffs are reading this feel free to send me a TV phone and ill gladly do a...

Abrams Confirmed To Direct ‘Star Trek XI’ After months of rumours and speculation, J.J. Abrams has committed to directing Star Trek XI. I wish I cared – I really do – but Star Trek finished with Voyager for me More equality? A gay couple who were covered with a blanket by an airline stewardess because they were hugging have received an apology. Virgin is shaking things up a bit for SKY – about time they had some real competition, be nice to see the same in Ireland? Sky and Virgin remained defiant today as the dispute over the carriage of the former’s channels on cable rumbled on. Apple TV to be ‘a few weeks’ late Initially the company said the £199 ($299) device would ship in February, but now expects it to go in mid-March. Move on Jade! Big Brother...

Channel 6 Bites the Bullet via John M. Ryan February 2nd, 2007 at 12:43

And about time, Channel 6 originally was in a little old dispute with SKY, because they wanted to be on the Sky Digital platform on one of the low numbers (on the EPG), near RTE1/2/TV3/TG4, which I suppose is fair enough, it is an ‘Irish’ channel, however SKY only offered them one of the high (and less watched) numbers in its channel line-up meaning that it was at the end of the entertainment package, also meaning less viewers for Channel 6. So CH6 decided not to go on SKY at all, but rather use NTL and Chorus, a mad move by all accounts, as this adds to their problems, leaving aside the fact that all their shows are years out of date, not being on SKY means the channel looses out on a percentage (be it small for them – based on the schedule) of SKYS 465,000 customers. But now they...
